turn it up, it really isn't loud enough.
Le Tigre
@ Webster Hall
September 18, 2005.
The limits of gender-bending, same-sex loving Le Tigre fans were put to the test upon entering Webster Hall last night. While they have come to embrace taboos such as chicks with moustaches, they were forced to draw the line, rightfully shunning Deva, the tone-deaf Devo cover-band comprised of co-eds donning pink wigs and creepy plastic masks.
Headliners, Le tigre continue preaching to the choir, and we continue blessing their bad-ass beating, liberal, bleeding hearts, because let’s face it, their anti-bush, pro-feminist messages are hella easy to dance to. Their set list was shorter than JD’s new do’, and dared to omit fan-favorite, The The Empty. But, come on, didn’t we all leave feeling full of grrrl love?
Also, check out: The Island Remixes. Haven't heard it yet, but with contributions from Peaches and Junior Senior, (including four new versions of After Dark), how could we go wrong?
